The post production is finally finished and the album of Somewhere Nearby is finally out there. Its available from bandcamp ready to download in any format you like here’s something to listen to while the shut down continues…
Somewhere Nearby is the title track from a forthcoming album. The title track improvises around a series of modal melodic phrases. And comes from the same inspiration as “Bill Etude”, from the album “The Laughing Dampenier” – of which critic Darren Rea wrote:
“‘Bill Etude’ (see below) is a movement around tonality, recognizing the influence of Bill Evans (1929-1980), the American jazz pianist and composer. This is arguably the album’s highlight and represents a rather moving tribute to the great man.”
