New Track “Red Sky at Morning” on BBC Introducing

It’s taken me a while to move from the studio back onto the website. So apologies for lagging behind on updates. Last night, Red Sky at Morning (RS@M) went out on BBC Cornwall, BBC Somerset, and BBC Devon on the Music Introducing in the South West show. (its a 2hr show,RS@M comes on at about 1hr 40 minutes into the episode)

Presenter Ally Reeves says: “I really like that – I basically just melted into my chair with that one.”

RS@Mis part of the Ambient Year Project I’ve been producing for broadcast during 2020. 5 episodes have gone out on The Source FM here in Falmouth and Penryn, and the whole series of 12 one hour episodes will go out on London’s Resonance FM nearer the end of this year.

Latest news is I’m starting post-production on a new album of piano compositions that is called “You Can Dance to Heaven on a Shoe String”. It’s a movement into new melodies and structures that cross over between classical, jazz and modern – I’ll let you know more about the record label and release date (probably early 2021) soon.

And that’s why I’m posting a pic of Erroll Garner and his business partner Martha Glaser. He was a great pianist and they were a great team. His music and technique is also a great inspiration. I hope to make “You Can Dance to Heaven on a Shoe String” reflect that. Check out more about Garner and listen to some interesting podcasts on the Erroll Garner website link
