petrichor is a word meaning
“a pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather.”

Greek: petros ‘stone’, petra ‘rock
Greek Mythology: Ichor
the fluid which flows like blood in the veins of the gods.
